Imelda Staunton is to star a new production of Hello, Dolly! in London’s West End.

The revival will run at the Adelphi Theatre from August 11 2020 for a limited engagement. Tickets are on sale now.

Dominic Cooke will direct, having previously worked with Staunton on the National Theatre’s 2017 production of Follies.

Jenna Russell has also been confirmed for the cast while the creative team will include choreography from Bill Deamer, design from Rae Smith and musical supervision by Nick Skilbeck.

Imelda Staunton said: “Well, I’m delighted and daunted in equal measure to be doing a new production of Hello, Dolly! in London next year.

“I am so excited to be working again with Dominic Cooke, Michael Harrison and David Ian, and we all can’t wait to bring Hello, Dolly! — which is a truly joyous show — back to the West End after all these years.”

Hello, Holly! debuted on Broadway in the 1960s, featuring a book by Michael Stewart with music & lyrics by Jerry Herman.
