Imelda Staunton is to star a new production of Hello, Dolly! in London's West End.
The revival will run at the Adelphi Theatre from August 11 2020 for a limited engagement. Tickets are on sale now.
Dominic Cooke will direct, having previously worked with Staunton on the National Theatre's 2017 production of Follies.
Jenna Russell has also been confirmed for the cast as Irene Molloy together with Andy Nyman in the role of Horace Vandergelder.
The creative team will include choreography from Bill Deamer, design from Rae Smith and musical supervision by Nick Skilbeck.
Imelda Staunton said: “Well, I’m delighted and daunted in equal measure to be doing a new production of Hello, Dolly! in London next year.
"I am so excited to be working again with Dominic Cooke, Michael Harrison and David Ian, and we all can’t wait to bring Hello, Dolly! — which is a truly joyous show — back to the West End after all these years."
Hello, Holly! debuted on Broadway in the 1960s, featuring a book by Michael Stewart with music & lyrics by Jerry Herman.
Based on Thornton Wilder's play The Matchmaker, the musical follows socialite-turned-matchmaker Dolly Levi in her quest to find love for those around her as well as herself.
With songs including "Put On Your Sunday Clothes", "It Only Takes a Moment" and "Hello, Dolly!" the hit musical has enjoyed numerous Broadway and West End revivals over the years.
Hello, Dolly! runs at London's Adelphi Theatre from 11 August 2020 through to 6 March 2021.
The standard performance schedule is Tuesday – Saturday at 7.30pm with Matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2.30pm.
