Deafinitely Theatre launches new digital streaming service

Deafinitely Theatre, the UK’s first deaf led theatre company, is launching their new digital streaming service Deafinitely Digital.

The first on demand streaming platform by an accessible theatre company to date will host some of Deafinitely Theatre’s most celebrated productions to date

The platform will feature the award-winning shows 4:48 Psychosis, Love’s Labour’s Lost and Deafinitely Theatre’s series of short films Talking Hands, created in association with Paines Plough, free of charge upon launching, with Everyday, available to rent for a week for a fee of £7.50.

4:48 Psychosis and Love’s Labour’s Lost will be available for free for one month until the 21 December.

Paula Garfield, the Artistic Director of Deafinitely Theatre said: “Since the pandemic, we’ve been experimenting with different ways to showcase work that everyone can access and enjoy. This is an exciting next step on that journey and we’re looking forward to providing a genuinely accessible digital offering to develop our audiences nationally and internationally.

“Deafinitely Digital will work alongside our live theatrical work, allowing us to continue to invest in deaf talent, as well as reaching those audience members that are unable to join us in person. Over time, this will become another place to come and engage with British Sign Language accessible work, for anybody, everywhere.”
