Samantha Barks to release new album in November on new musical theatre label

West End and Broadway star Samantha Barks has announced the release of a brand new album.

Currently leading the cast of Frozen The Musical in London as Queen Elsa, Barks’ album Into The Unknown will drop on 12 November.


Barks’ record will feature her take on classic showtunes from stage and screen including the Frozen 2 hit the album gets its name from.

The tracklist also includes Six’s Hear Heart Of Stone (SIX), Never enough (The Greatest Showman), Reflection (Mulan) and I’d Rather be Me (Mean Girls).

Plus, there will be duets featuring Ramin Karimloo (Only Us from Dear Evan Hansen) and Barks’ Frozen co-star Stephanie McKeon (Smash’s Let Me Be Your Star).

The release will be the first for brand new musical theatre label Westway.

Launched by Neil O’Brien Entertainment, its current roster of artists includes Lee Mead, Ramin Karimloo, Kerry Ellis, Joe Stilgoe and Cassidy Janson.

Upcoming releases include Lee Mead’s DVD and CD ‘In concert, Recorded at the London Palladium’ and Ramin Karimloo’s ‘Live At Clapham Grand’ DVD.

Meanwhile 2022 will see Kerry Ellis put out an album of new original songs, Cassidy Janson singing a collection of US West Coast classics supported and Joe Stilgoe releasing an orchestral album, ‘Theatre’.
