Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella and The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical nominated for Grammys

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella and The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical albums have been nominated at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

The two records have both received nods in the Best Musical Theatre Album category.

Also nominated are the Les Misérables 2020 Staged Concert Recording Live Album, the Girl From The North Country, Stephen Schwartz’s Snapshots and Burt Bacharach and Steven Sater’s Some Lovers.

Meanwhile in Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media there are nominations for the recent movie adaptations of Dear Evan Hansen and In The Heights alongside Cruella, One Night In Miami, Respect, Schmigadoon! and The United States vs Billie Holiday.

In Best Song Written for Visual Media, nominees are Agatha All Along (Wandavision), All Eyes On Me (Inside), All I Know So Far (P!nk), Fight For You (Judas And The Black Messiah), Here I Am (Respect) and Speak Now (One Night In Miami).

The winners will be announced at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards on 31 January, 2022.

With a cast featuring Carrie Hope Fletcher, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, Ivano Turco, Adam Lambert, Helen George and Todrick Hall, an album for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new West End musical Cinderella was released earlier this year on streaming, CD and Vinyl. The show is currently playing to audiences at the Gillian Lynne Theatre.

Meanwhile composers Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear have turned their viral music sensation into a full-fledged concept album, The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical.

Barlow & Bear racked up millions of views online with their original songs inspired on the hit Netflix series.
