Matt Lucas and David Walliams have written a Sir Cliff Richard musical

Matt Lucas and David Walliams have penned a musical telling the life story of Sir Cliff Richard.

The Little Britain stars have penned the stage show, titled Bachelor Boy after Richard’s hit song with The Shadows.

The musical will use Richard’s back catalogue to tell the story of his career with Lucas revealing to The Last Show on Earth podcast that they were looking to get the man himself onboard.

He shared (via The Sun): “I like Cliff Richard, I don’t care that other people don’t. I do.

“Me and Walliams wrote a synopsis for a Cliff Richard musical and pitched it to him, and it’s great. I hope it sees the light of day.”
