David Hunter and Lucie Jones to release book about their time in Waitress together

David Hunter and Lucie Jones have announced they are to release a book together.

The pair will spill all about their time performing in Waitress in the West End and on tour.

Doctor’s Orders – our friendship in doodles will be told both through drawings and reveal backstage stories and secrets.

A synopsis shares: “Everyday during their time together at ‘Waitress the Musical’, David (as Dr Pomatter) would hand Lucie (as Jenna) a prescription for prenatal vitamins featuring a silly little doodle about whatever was happening at the time. Lucie kept every single of one of them and they lined her dressing room wall at The Adelphi Theatre until the show closed in March 2020.

“They’ve lived in a little box ever since. But now the best of the doodles will appear in a brand new book, alongside Lucie and David’s favourite backstage stories and secrets. Sign up to our mailing list to be the first to get your hands on this unique retelling of their time at Waitress.”

The book is released in March and is available to pre-order here.
