Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs musical set for Christmas in Leicester Square

Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs: The Magic Cutlass arrives in London in December for Christmas in Leicester Square.

Fresh from two highly successful runs at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and a UK tour, the family musical will run between December 7 through to January 5. Tickets are available now from £8.

Described as a “Christmas event for all the family to treasure”, Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs combines catchy live music, spectacular puppetry and, of course, dastardly dinosaurs.

Based on the award-winning book by Giles Andreae and Russell Ayto, a synopsis of the show reads:

When Flinn, Pearl and Tom are in the middle of their school play their old nemesis, Mr T the T- Rex, appears and kidnaps the children, forcing them to hunt for the secretive Magic Cutlass – a sword that grants the holder any wish!

The children are whisked away for another fantastic adventure to a world of devious dinosaurs, deep sea dangers and smelly sausages! Will fearless Flinn be able to outwit the pirate dinosaurs? Will pirate Pearl be brave enough to battle the dangerous dinos and will terrified Tom be back in time for tea?

The musical has been adapted by Oliver Lansley, the Artistic Director of Les Petits Theatre and Les Enfants Terribles Theatre Company.

Those making up the cast are Mark Middleton, Ellie Pawsey, Stephan Boyce and Tom Myles.

Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs: The Magic Cutlass plays at Christmas in Leicester Square’s Spiegeltent in London’s Leicester Square Gardens, Saturday 7th December 2019 – Sunday 5th January 2020.

Tickets are available from the Christmas in Leicester Square website, www.christmasinleicestersquare.com priced from £8.
