Andrew Lloyd Webber’s By Jeeves to stream online for free

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s By Jeeves will stream its 2001 production for free online.

It’s the latest of Lloyd Webber’s shows to be made available for free following The Phantom Of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar.

They form part of the legendary musical theatre composer’s new online series The Shows Must Go On which is making a selection of his works available to watch online for free.

Based on the characters of P. G. Wodehouse’s series of novels and short stories, By Jeeves features music from Lloyd Webber with lyrics and a book by Alan Ayckbourn.

You’ll be able to watch online via YouTube.com/TheShowsMustGoOn from 7PM On Friday May 8 with the musical available to watch on demand for 48 hours over the weekend.

The cast features John Scherer, Martin Jarvis, Donna Lynne Champlin, Don Stephenson, James Kall, Heath Lamberts, Becky Watson, Emily Loesser, Ian Knauer and Steve Wilson.

The filmed version is based on the 2001 Broadway production, rewritten after the musical’s original 1975 outing in London’s West End.

While free to watch, viewers are encouraged to show their support by making a donation to charities alongside each video, including Acting for Others, Broadway Cares and Actors Benevolent Fund.
