Broadway production of Falsettos to stream for free for charity
The 2016 Broadway production of Falsettos will stream for free online for charity.
The revival, which was nominated for five Tony Awards, will be made available for from midnight on June 26 (UK time) on BroadwayHD.
The production will stream for free for 48 hours with donations encouraged to help support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
With music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by Finn and James Lapine, Falsettos made its world premiere on Broadway in 1992.
Falsettos tells the story of gay man Marvin, his ex-wife Trina, his psychiatrist Mendel, his son Jason, his lover Whizzer Brown, and his lesbian neighbours Cordelia and Dr. Charlotte.
The 2016 Broadway revival cast features Christian Borle as Marvin, Andrew Rannells as Whizzer, Stephanie J. Block as Trina, Brandon Uranowitz as Mendel, Anthony Rosenthal as Jason, Tracie Thoms as Charlotte and Betsy Wolfe as Cordelia.
