West End stars set for online lockdown concerts this summer

West End stars will be coming live to your living room this summer with a series of online concerts.

Oliver Tompsett, Louise Dearman, Zoe Birkett, Jon Robyns and Kerry Ellis will all be taking part in their own shows, presented by The Umbrella Rooms and Applause Productions.

UR Live will make the concerts available to rent with proceeds going to support the artists while theatres are closed.

So many of us are saddened that worldwide theatre, as we know and love it, is on pause at the moment and yet the commitments of our fabulously talented performers, mortgage, rent, bills, goes on regardless.

The theatres may temporarily be dark, but The West End CAN still light up your screen with a season of online concerts featuring fabulous artistes such as Oliver Tompsett, Louise Dearman, Kerry Ellis, Zoe Birkett and many more.

The series will begin with Oliver Tompsett from July 23.

Tompsett is currently appearing as William Shakespeare in & Juliet. His past credits include Kinky Boots, Guys and Dolls, We Will Rock You, Rock of Ages and Wicked.

On Twitter, he promised fans a selection of musical theatre songs from his career and favourite shows.

You can pre-order the concert online here.

Dates for future concerts are to be confirmed.
