A Little Night Music outdoor concert to play London’s Holland Park

A socially distanced concert production of A Little Night Music has been announced.

The special outdoor performance will take place at London’s Holland Park on Saturday, August 15 at 6PM.

200 seats will be made available with tickets on sale from 12PM on August 3.

The cast will be led by Janie Dee and Joanna Riding with Sharif Afifi, Hiba Elchikhe, Danielle Fiamanya, Fra Fee, Hilary Harwood, Damian Humbley, Emma Kingston, Emma Harrold, Nadim Naaman, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Ella Tronson and Kayi Ushe.

Alastair Knights will direct with musical direction by Alex Parker featuring orchestrations by Jason Carr from the 2009 London revival.

All cast, creative and audience members will obey social distancing guidelines.

Inspired by the 1955 Ingmar Bergman film Smiles of a Summer Night, A Little Night Music features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler.

Winner of multiple Tony Awards, it tells the tangled web of affairs involving the romantic lives of several couples which leads to moving moments of adoration, regret and desire.
