A new online production of musical Disenchanted has been announced.
The show, which previously played Off-Broadway, reimagines the classic stories of fairytale princesses.
The new digital production will stream between 9 to 11 April 2021 via stream.theatre with tickets on sale now.
The cast features Jodie Steele as Snow White, Sophie Isaacs as Cinderella, Allie Daniel as Sleeping Beauty, Grace Mouat as Pocahontas, Millie O’Connell as The Little Mermaid and Courtney Bowman as Princess Badroulbadour.
They’re joined by Natalie Chua as Hau Mulan, Shanay Holmes as The Princess Who Kissed The Frog, Aisha Jawando as Belle and Jenny O’Leary as Rapunzel.
Disenchanted has a book, music and lyrics by Dennis T. Giacino. The new online production will be directed by Tom Jackson Greaves with musical direction by George Dyer, hair design by Charlotte Wilkson, make up by Abbi Rose and filming by The Umbrella Rooms. The show is produced by Chris Steward & Shanay Holmes for West End Musical Productions.
A teaser shares: “Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that’s anything but Grimm. The original storybook heroines are none-too-happy with the way they’ve been portrayed in today’s pop culture so they’ve tossed their tiaras and have come to life to set the record straight.
“Forget the princesses you think you know – these royal renegades are here to comically belt out the truth.”
Tickets are available now priced from £15 via stream.theatre.
