Kings Theatre Portsmouth's announces 2020 panto with limited capacity

Kings Theatre Portsmouth Dick Whittington

The 2020 Panto at Kings Theatre Portsmouth has been announced – with a limited capacity.

This year’s show will be Dick Whittington with tickets on sale now here.

A panto classic, Dick Whittington tells the story of a poor boy who travels to London in search of fame and fortune. His journey sees him outwit King Rat, win Alice’s hand in marriage and ultimately become Lord Mayor of London.

The show will star Jack Edwards as Dame Dolly with further casting to be confirmed.

Capacity will be limited to 400 tickets per performance with social distancing measures in place. All tickets are priced at £20, with companion and carer tickets for £10.

You won’t be able to select your own seat, instead choosing to simply sit in the Stalls, Dress Circle or Upper Circle. Ticket holders will be allocated social distancing seating two weeks before the performance.

All staff will be supplied with PPE as needed with free face masks available and Non-contact temperature checks for all staff, performers and customers.

Kings Theatre Portsmouth’s originally planned 2020 panto – Peter Pan – will return in 2021.

It will be back with John Challis as Captain Hook between Saturday 27 November and Friday 31 December 2021.

Dick Whittington plays at Kings Theatre Portsmouth from November 28 until December 31.
