Joe Pasquale and Lee Mead will star in the Milton Keynes 2019 Panto, Aladdin.
Mead will star as the title character while Pasquale will play his hapless brother, Wishee Washee.
Comedian and actor Mead is one of the UK’s best known comics and has spent more than 20 years on both the screen and stage. He’s been in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, taken part in no fewer than five The Royal Variety Performances and starred in the West End production of Spamalot.
Mead rose to fame when he won BBC talent show Any Dream Will Do, securing he lead role in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He’s gone on to appear in Legally Blonde on the stage and Holby City on screen.
This will be his sixth panto, with previous starring roles including Prince Charming in Cinderella at the London Palladium.
Aladdin will play at the Milton Keynes Theatre between Saturday, 7th December and Sunday, 12 January.
