Christopher Biggins will be the star of the 2019 Panto Aladdin at Bromley Churchill Theatre.
Stage legend Christopher Biggins will play dame Widow Twankey, leading the cast of the magical production this Christmas.
Biggins has become well known for his panto roles, making his debut aged just 17. Along with his stage work, he's appeared on TV shows including Porridge, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em and entered the I'm A Celebrity jungle.
Aladdin has become one of the most popular pantomimes in the UK thanks to its magical story of a young boy who chances upon a wish-granting genie.
Once again, Bromley's Churchill Theatre panto will be produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer.
Executive Producer Jonathan Kiley said: “We’re delighted that Biggins will be starring as the iconic Widow Twankey in this year’s production of Aladdin.
"Not only is he pantomime royalty and a stalwart of the art form, he’s hilariously funny, a wonderful Dame and guaranteed to bring lots of laughter to the role and help make this season even more magical.”
Chris Glover, Theatre Director at the Churchill Theatre, added, “All of the Churchill Theatre staff are thrilled that Christopher Biggins has agreed to return to the stage in the role of Widow Twankey in Aladdin this Christmas.
"Having had an illustrious panto career that has spanned over five decades, we cannot wait to welcome Biggins to Bromley!”
