The 2021/2022 panto at Hackney Empire has been announced with full casting revealed.

Originally scheduled for 2020, the 2021 pantomime will be Jack and the Beanstalk with tickets on sale now here.


Jack and the Beanstalk tells the story of poor country boy Jack who trades his family cow in for a handful of magic beans, which grow into a beanstalk leading to a giant’s castle.

As always a talented cast will be bring the story to life this festive season.

Grande Dame Olivier Award-winner Clive Rowe will make his 14th pantomime appearance starring as Dame Daisy Trott. He’ll be joined by panto veteran Tony Whittle as Councillor Higginbottom with Rowe and Whittle also co-directing the show.

Clive Rowe and Tony Whittle said: “We have a similar sense of humour and it is not uncommon for us to be in floods of tears making each other laugh, sometimes even on stage. We are both really looking forward to working with this new exciting pantomime team and having the best fun whilst creating a multi-generational, traditional Hackney pantomime.”

Further casting includes the legendary Kat B as Simple Simon, Zoe Curlett as Fenella Fleshcreep, Julie Jupp as Fairy Fusia, Ellie Ruiz Rodriguez as Jill Higginbottom and Rochelle Sherona as Jack Trot.

They’ll be joined by Victoria Anderson, Harry Robinson, Christina Shand, Beth Sindy, Jacob Thomas and Cameron Webb who make up the ensemble.

Jack and the Beanstalk plays at Hackney Empire from 20 November 2021 until 2 January 2022.
