The cast for the 2019 pantomime at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre has been announced.
Produced by Qdos Entertainment, this year’s show will be Peter Pan.
Based on the story by J M Barrie, Peter Pan tells the adventures of a free-spirited and mischievous young boy who can fly and never grows up.
BRIT Award singer Marti Pellow, former frontman of Wet Wet Wet turned solo star, will lead the cast in the role of the evil Captain Hook.
He’ll appear opposite television and stage star Darren Day as Smee, Union J singer Jaymi Hensley as Peter Pan and the hilarious Grumbleweeds as pirates.
Further casting will be announced in due course.
Speaking on this year’s casting, Managing Director Qdos Entertainment Michael Harrison said: “We’re delighted to have such a wealth of talent starring in Peter Pan this year, from the amazing vocals of Marti and Jaymi, to the hilarious Darren, Robin and James, it’s going to be a panto journey everyone will want to embark on this festive season.”

Peter Pan plays at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre between Saturday 14 December 2019 and Sunday 5 January 2020.
