The cast for the 2019/2020 pantomime at Hull New Theatre has been announced.
Produced by Qdos Entertainment, this year's show will be Aladdin.
Aladdin has become one of the most popular pantomimes in the UK thanks to its magical story of a young boy who chances upon a wish-granting genie.
The cast will be led by Blue star Simon Webbe in the titular role.
Joining him on the cast will be Benidorm favourite Jake Canuso as the Genie of the Ring and film and television legend Robin Askwith as evil sorcerer Abanazar.
And starring as Aladdin’s brother Wishee Washee is comedian Neil Hurst, best known for his roles in The Syndicate and Fresh Meat.
Janice Wincott, Theatre and Halls Manager, Hull Culture and Leisure said: “we are thrilled that in this, Hull New Theatre’s 80th year, our hugely popular festive production will feature such a star-studded cast.
"Aladdin is a firm family favourite and this incredible line-up is sure to delight all our audiences from seasoned attendees to first time visitors.”
Described as a "must-see production packed full of audience participation, laughter, music, a wish-granting genie and plenty of panto magic", Aladdin plays at Hull New Theatre between Thursday, 5 December 2019 to Sunday, 29 December 2019.
