The first cast and tickets for the 2019 pantomime at Stoke’s The Regent Theatre have been announced.
Produced by Qdos Entertainment, this year’s show will be Sleeping Beauty.
Sleeping Beauty tells the story of a princess who is cursed by an evil witch into a deep sleep that can only be broke by the kiss from her true love.
Stage stars Jonny Wilkes and Christian Patterson will lead this year’s cast.
Jonny Wilkes (Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show, Guys and Dolls and Grease) will star as the hilarious Jester while Christian Patterson (The Woman in Black, Journey’s End and Matilda) will play The Nurse.
Jonny Wilkes said: “I can’t wait to return to my hometown for the Regent Theatre’s 2019 panto, Sleeping Beauty!
“Myself and Christian are so excited to be performing a brand-new title at The Regent Theatre. We are looking forward to bringing this fairy tale to life on stage.”
Cheryl Taylor, Deputy General Manager at the Regent Theatre added: “We are so happy to welcome back Jonny and Christian for this year’s panto, Sleeping Beauty. It will be Jonny’s 14th year and Christians 11th year with us which shows how much Stoke audiences love them.
“It will be a spectacular production with lots of comedy and surprises. It will be a perfect festive treat for all the family.”

Sleeping Beauty plays at Regent Theatre, Stoke between Friday 13 December 2019 to Sunday 5 January 2020.
