Kilworth House Theatre has confirmed that Half a Sixpence and Carousel will return in 2021.
Both productions had originally been planned for this summer before the ongoing health crisis forced live performances to be halted.
The venue has now confirmed that they will return for its 2021 summer season.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel will run between May 26 and July 5.
Carousel tells the story of carousel barker Billy Bigelow, whose romance with millworker Julie Jordan comes at the price of both their jobs. The musical features the songs including ‘If I Loved You’, ‘June Is Bustin’ Out All Over’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.
Julian Fellowes’ version of Half A Sixpence will follow, playing between July 20 and August 29.
Based on the 1905 novel Kipps by H. G. Wells and the original 1963 musical of the same name, Half A Sixpence tells the story of orphan Arthur Kipps who unexpectedly inherits a fortune that propels him into high society.
Andrew Wright will direct and choreograph both productions with set and costume design from Philip Witcomb, lighting design from Jason Taylor, sound design from Chris Whybrow and casting by Anne Vosser.
Musical direction will come from George Dyer (Carousel) and Francis Goodhand (Half A Sixpence).
