Cast announced for Carousel revival at Kilworth House Theatre

Casting has been announced for Carousel at Kilworth House Theatre this summer.

The production was originally planned for 2020 and later rescheduled to 2021 due to the pandemic.

The revival is now confirmed to run this year with performances from 24 May to 3 July 2022.

Carousel tells the story of carousel barker Billy Bigelow, whose romance with millworker Julie Jordan comes at the price of both their jobs. The musical features the songs including ‘If I Loved You’, ‘June Is Bustin’ Out All Over’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.

Emma Kingston and Matt Blaker will star as Julie Jordan and Billy Bigelow respectively.

Joining them are Julie Yamannee as Carrie Pipperidge, Tom Sterling as Enoch Snow, Madalena Alberto as Nettie Fowler, George Maddison as Jigger Craigin, Lara Denning as Mrs Mullin, Genevieve Heron as Louise Bigelow, Kevin Brewis as Mr Bascombe, Charles Butcher as Young Enoch, Alastair Postlewaite as Carnival Boy and Alan Vicary as Dr Seldon.

The company will be completed by Stuart Rouse, Gareth Moran, Diante Lodge, Luke Jarvis, Rhodri Watkins, Joseph Craig, Libby Waits, Rebecca Jane French, Alice Readie, Aoife Kenny, Chloe Saunders and Jemima Lody.

Nick Winston will direct and choreograph the production with set and costume design from Philip Witcomb, lighting design from Jason Taylor, sound design from Chris Whybrow, casting by Anne Vosser, new orchestrations by George Dyer and musical direction by Francis Goodhand.
