9 to 5 The Musical's new UK tour has been postponed until 2021.
Fresh from its run on the West End, new tour dates for the hit musical had been scheduled from May.
But producers Selladoor Worldwide have announced performances will now begin next Spring due to the ongoing theatre shutdown.
Originally due to open May 2020 at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, 9 to 5 The Musical's UK tour is planning to open Spring 2021.
Casting and dates for the postponed tour will be announced in due course.
David Hutchinson CEO said: “It’s with a heavy heart that we’ve taken the decision to postpone the majority of our productions into 2021 both in the UK and internationally.
"It’s taken our production team, creatives and partners years to put these productions together and we were so excited to share them with audiences this year. However the uncertainty on when theatres will reopen, how and when we can develop audiences for our work and clarity on best practises for touring in a Covid world – we feel the odds are against us delivering shows in 2020.”
With a score written by country music icon Dolly Parton, 9 To 5 The Musical is based on the 1980s comedy movie of the same name, which Dolly starred in.
The Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score features some of Parton's biggest hits, including the legendary '9 to 5', as well as original songs written for the show.
The musical was playing at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End up until the theatre shutdown forced its run to be cut short in March.
