Bring It On The Musical's UK tour has been postponed until autumn 2021.
The hit musical was due to be touring the UK and Ireland for the very first time this summer.
But producers Selladoor Worldwide have announced performances will now begin next autumn due to the ongoing theatre shutdown.
Originally due to open June 2020 at the Birmingham Hippodrome, Bring It On's UK tour is now planning to open Autumn 2021.
Also postponed by Selladoor Worldwide are the UK tours of 9 to 5 The Musical and Footloose as well as international tours of Madagascar the Musical and We Will Rock You
Selladoor's Head of Productions Naomi James said: “It has been a devastating decision to postpone productions further and lose almost all production activity for 2020, but given the lack of a clear roadmap to reopening theatres, it seems the most responsible way forward for our artists, creatives and patrons alike.
"Our worst case scenario quickly became our best case scenario and we hope that by moving everything into 2021, we give ourselves the best chance at being able to play our part in the rebuilding of our wonderful industry, when that time comes”
Inspired by the film of the same name, Bring It On The Musical follows cheer-royalty and newly crowned Squad Captain, Campbell. When she is forced to move to the neighbouring hard-knock Jackson High, Campbell fears her life is over but an unlikely friendship catapults Campbell back into contention with a powerhouse squad and the fire to achieve the impossible.
The musical features a book by Jeff Whitty with music by To Kitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda and lyrics by Miranda and Amanda Green.
Louis Smith and Amber Davies will lead the cast, taking on the roles of Cameron and Campbell respectively.
