From Here to Eternity the Musical could be set for a UK tour

From Here to Eternity the Musical could be heading out on its first UK tour.

Based on the 1951 novel of the same name, From Here to Eternity features s a book by Bill Oakes with music by Stuart Brayson and lyrics from Sir Tim Rice.

The production held its world premiere in 2013 at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End.

Now a UK tour could be on its way, according to lyricist Tim Rice.

He shared in a virtual reunion between the show’s creative and original cast (via Mark Shenton on Twitter): “”There’s interest in a UK tour [of FROM HERE TO ETERNITY].

“We’ve had a lot of offers and interest and something will happen in due course.”

Rice later added that the show “could be back somewhere by Autumn 2021”.

From Here to Eternity the Musical is currently available to stream online via BroadwayHD.

A synopsis of the production reads: “Set in Pearl Harbor, 1941, where the girls sing “don’cha like Hawaii”, the men of G Company sing the blues, and where even on an army base, love and desire are never very far away.

“As war approaches, the worlds of the four lovers and the soldiers of G Company are dramatically ripped apart.”
