Heathers the Musical is based on the cult 1980s film of the same name which starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.

The piece as music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy and previously ran in London’s West End in 2018.

It tells the story of high school student Veronica Sawyer who, long for popularity, finds herself taken under the wings of three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers. The plot takes a dark twist when the mysterious JD turns up, teaching Veronica that it might kill to be a nobody, but it’s murder being a somebody.

An original London Cast Recording is available here starring Carrie Hope Fletcher.
