A parody musical about hit US sitcom Friends will be touring the UK again in 2020.
Friendsical is inspired by the popular TV series which aired between 1994 and 2004.
After a first UK tour – including a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – in 2019, the show will hit the road again next year.
The 2020 tour will begin in Bromley before visiting Poole, Peterborough, Barnstaple, Cardiff, Guildford, Leicester, Coventry and Dartford, with further dates to be confirmed.
Described as a “loving parody not to be confused with the Warner Bros Entertainment Inc. series Friends”, a synopsis of Friendsical reads:
When Ross’ wife leaves him for another woman, he fears he will never find love again. But then Rachel runs back into his life… will he end up with his one true love?
Featuring original songs such as (He’s her) Lobster!, Richard’s Moustache and You’re Over Me? When Were You Under Me?, the gang take on naked Thursdays, a power cut, and a dinosaur convention. What could possibly go wrong?
Friendsical is written by Miranda Larson, whose credits include Christmasaurus, The Night Pirates and SpongeBob Live.
Making up the cast are Thomas Mitchells as Chandler, Ally Retberg as Phoebe, Ewan Gillies as Ross, Alexandra Robinson as Rachel, Tanya Shields as Monica and Joshua Steel as Joey.
Completing the company are Calum Gulvin and Stephanie MacGaraidh as the ensemble.
