Casting has been announced for the 2021 Dirty Dancing musical tour.
Dirty Dancing brings the iconic film of the same name – which starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey – to life on the stage.
Telling the love story of Baby and Johnny who are brought together by dance, the hit show features the classic songs such as “Hungry Eyes”, “Hey! Baby”, and, of course, “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life”.
Dirty Dancing tour cast
The cast of the Dirty Dancing tour will be led by Michael O’Reilly as Johnny Castle, Kira Malou as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman and Carlie Milner as Penny Johnson.
Joining them are Lynden Edwards as Dr Jake Housman, Jackie Morrison as Marjorie Houseman, Lizzie Ottley as Lisa Houseman, Samuel Bailey as Billy Kostecki, Michael Remick as Max Kellerman, Thomas Sutcliffe as Neil Kellerman, Colin Charles as Tito Suarez, Mark Faith as Mr Schumacher and Amber Sylvia Edwards as Elizabeth.
Completing the cast are Danielle Cato, Danielle Lockwood, Marie Finlayson, James McHugh, Benjamin Harrold, Rishard-Kyro Nelson, Patricia Wilkins, Charlotte Olliffe and Lee Nicholson, joined by actor-musicians Miles Russell, Ben Mabberley, Tom Mussell and Austin Wilks.
The new tour is directed by Federico Bellone with lighting design by Valerio Tiberi, sound design by Armando Vertullo and musical direction from Richard John.
Tickets for the Dirty Dancing 2021 tour are on sale now with performances starting in Shrewsbury at the Theatre Severn at the end of July.
The show will then travel across the UK and Ireland throughout 2021 with stops in Blackpool, Buxton, Brighton, Sunderland, Dublin, Manchester, Richmond, Birmingham, Hull, Carlisle, Coventry, Edinburgh, Dartford and Bradford.
