A hit on the West End for the past three years - and with a movie recently released - Everybody's Talking About Jamie is back on tour in 2024.

Inspired by a true story, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has proved a hit on the West End ever since opening in 2017. Now its back to tour across the UK, with new tour dates on sale.

Meet the cast and team

The new tour cast includes Ivano Turco as Jamie New, Rebecca McKinnis as Margaret New, Shobna Gulati as Ray and Talia Palamathanan as Pritti.

John Partridge plays Hugo / Loco Chanelle from 7 September  – 11 November 2023 and 8 January – 23 March 2024. Darren Day plays Hugo/Loco Chanelle from 21 November – 30 December 2023. Kevin Clifton plays Hugo / Loco Chanelle from 25 March – 15 July 2024.

Hayley Tamaddon plays Miss Hedge from 7 September – 26 November 2023, Harriet Payne plays Miss Hedge from 28 November – 30 December 2023, Giovanna Fletcher plays Miss Hedge from 8 January  –  23 March 2024, and Sam Bailey plays Miss Hedge from 25 March – 15 July 2024.

Completing the cast for the 2023-24 UK Tour are KY Kelly , Garry Lee , David McNair, Akshay St Clair, Jordan Ricketts, Liv Ashman, Rhiannon Bacchus, Geoff Berrisford, Jessica Daugirda, Finton Flynn, Annabelle Laing, Luca Moscardini, Joshian Omana, Thomas Walton, Takayiah Bailey and Georgina Hagen.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has music by Dan Gillespie Sells and a book and lyrics by Tom MacRae from an idea by Jonathan Butterell.

Directed by Jonathan Butterell, the production has design by Anna Fleischle, choreography by Kate Prince, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound design by Paul Groothuis, casting by Will Burton, musical supervision Theo Jamieson and video design by Luke Halls.

About the show

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie tells the story of Jamie New, a sixteen-year-old who lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. He is going to be a sensation.

Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.

The running time of the show is 2 hours 40 minutes including interval. The age guidance is 5+, strictly no under 5s. Parental discretion advised. Contains some strong language and mild adult references.
