Holes stage adaption to tour the UK

Holes tour tickets, dates and venues

A stage adaption of hit novel and film Holes will tour the UK in 2020.

The Nottingham Playhouse production, written by Louis Sachar and directed by Adam Penford, will be presented by the Children’s Theatre Partnership (CTP) and Royal & Derngate, Northampton.

The production will open at Royal & Derngate, Northampton on 24 January 2020 before travelling to Nottingham Playhouse, Coventry Belgrade Theatre, Newcastle Theatre Royal, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Liverpool Playhouse, High Wycombe Swan, Norwich Theatre Royal, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and Canterbury Marlowe Theatre.

Further dates and casting are to be announced.

Holes tells the story of Stanley Yelnats, who is born into a family cursed with bad luck and finds himself accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Sent to a labour camp where he must dig holes as punishment, not everything is as it seems.

The award-winning book was written by Louis Sachar who also wrote the screenplay for the 2003 film adaption.
