Shrek The Musical tour

Currently touring until 4 May 2024

Based on the animated movie of the same name and inspired by all of the classic fairytales, the musical follows ogre Shrek and his newly appointed noble steed Donkey as they attempt to defy the odds and save the gutsy Princess Fiona to bring her to the meagre Lord Farquaad.

Making up the cast are Antony Lawrence as Shrek, Joanne Clifton as Fiona, James Gillan as Lord Faquaad, Brandon Lee Sears as Donkey and Cherece Richards as Donkey.

Completing the company are Leo Abad, Scotty Armstrong, Imogen Bailey, Jabari Braham, Georgie Buckland, Natasha Cayabyab, Mark Darcy, Jonathan David Dudley, Remi Ferdinand, Sonny Grieveson, Edward Leigh, Bethany Kate, Jessica Lim, Andile Mabhena, Bronte MacMillan, India Thornton, Talia Duff, Gabby Gregorian, Roy Shafford and Jamie Jonathan.

The tour will be co-directed by Sam Holmes (Club Tropicana the Musical) who previously appeared in the show as Lord Farquaad. He is joined by acclaimed director and choreographer Nick Winston, whose recent credits include Bonnie and Clyde (Arts Theatre) and Beauty and the Beast (as associate director and choreographer for the UK tour) and upcoming projects include a new world tour of We Will Rock You and a remounted UK tour of Rock of Ages.

Set and costume design is by Philip Witcomb whose previous productions include Bonnie & Clyde In Concert (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Jack & The Beanstalk (Everyman Theatre Cheltenham), Atlantis (Tivoli Concert Hall, Copenhagen), Mame (Hope Mill Theatre and UK Tour), The Beauty Queen of Leenane and Stones In His Pockets (The Minack Theatre). Mark Goucher, Gavin Kalin and Matthew Gale are producers.
