My Best Friend’s Wedding Musical tour dates, tickets and casting

My Best Friend’s Wedding The Musical will head out on a UK and Ireland tour in 2021.

Based on the movie of the same name, the new musical will hold its world premiere at Manchester Palace Theatre on 20 September 2021.

Rachel Kavanaugh directs the production which has a book by Ronald Bass and Jonathan Harvey and score featuirng the music and lyrics by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

It tells the story of lifelong friends Julianne Potter and Michael O’Neal. When Michael reveals he’s marrying another woman, Julianne realizes her love for Michael and sets a plan to sabotage his wedding.

Alexandra Burke will lead the cast as Julianne with other casting to be confirmed.

Following its opening in Plymouth, the tour will visit Manchester, Bradford, Leicester, Aberdeen, Stoke-on-Trent, Dublin, Wolverhampton, Milton Keynes, Sheffield and Eastbourne.
