Get a first look at Beautiful – The Carole King Musical’s new UK tour

Here’s a taster of the new UK tour of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical as it opens this weekend.

The musical – which recently celebrated five years on Broadway – ran in the West End for two and a half years before a first UK tour in 2017.

A second national UK tour launches this Saturday (January 11) at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical tells the story of the life of singer-songwriter Carole King. The show features a book by Douglas McGrath with songs written by Carole King, her husband Gerry Goffin, as well as Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil, Phil Spector and others.

Daisy Wood-Davis leads the cast in the title role Carole King, alongside Adam Gillian as Gerry Goffin while Vicki Manser will play Carole King at certain performances.

Further cast include Laura Baldwin as Cynthia Weil with Cameron Sharp as Barry Mann, Susie Fenwick as King’s mother Genie Klein and Oliver Boot as Donnie Kirshner.

After Bromley – where the musical plays through to Saturday, January 18 – the UK tour will visit Hull, Aberdeen, Northampton, Eastbourne, Woking, Bristol, Bradford, Cardiff, Sunderland, Wimbledon, Milton Keynes, Llandudno, Canterbury, Cliffs Pavilion, Southend, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Glasgow and Nottingham.
