Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is coming to Netflix UK in June

Good news for fans of ABBA based musicals, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is coming to Netflix in June!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be available to stream on Netflix UK from June 26, it’s been announced.

Released in 2018, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is a sequel to 2008 film Mamma Mia! which was based on the West End musical of the same name, featuring the songs of ABBA.

Set five years after the events of the first movie, the film follows Sophie Sheridan (Amanda Seyfried) as she reflects on her mother’s (Meryl Streep) younger life with her possible three fathers Bill Anderson (Stellan Skarsgård), Sam Carmichael (Pierce Brosnan) and Harry Bright (Colin Firth).

Lily James plays Young Donna with Jessica Keenan Wynn and Alexa Davies as her best friends Tanya and Rosie respectively.

The Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again cast also features Jeremy Irvine (young Sam), Josh Dylan (young Bill), Hugh Skinner (young Harry), Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, Andy García, and Cher, plus cameos from ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.

The original Mamma Mia! movie is not currently available on Netflix but is available on digital download via Amazon Prime Video.

Meanwhile, Mamma Mia! continues to play on London’s West End.

The production, currently at the Novello Theatre, is celebrating 21 years of performances having first debuted on April 6, 1999 on at the Prince Edward Theatre.

The show is also touring the UK in 2021 and 2022.
