Little Mix rumoured for Little Shop Of Horrors musical movie remake

Girl group Little Mix have been rumoured for a role in the planned Little Shop Of Horrors movie remake.

The four-piece are slated to appear as the Greek chorus in a new big screen adaption of the stage show.

Little Shop of Horrors is a musical by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken which first premiered Off-Broadway in 1982.

Based on the 1960 film The Little Shop of Horrors, numerous productions followed including a run on Broadway and the West End.

A musical film adaption was first released in 1986 and it’s understood work is underway on a remake.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed in February 2020 that Greg Berlanti would direct with Taron Egerton in talks to play Seymour with Scarlett Johansson as Audrey, Billy Porter as the voice of Audrey II and Chris Evans as Orin Scrivello.

Now there’s another casting rumour to add to the list: Girl group Little Mix (via Capital FM).

The four piece – Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – are tipped to take on the roles of the Greek Chorus who appear throughout the film.

Little Mix rose to fame on The X Factor in 2011 and are currently working on their sixth studio album.

They also have their own BBC One talent show The Search on its way to screens later this year.
