Frozen 2 Disney+ UK release date confirmed for July 3

Disney’s Frozen 2 is coming to Disney+ in the UK from July, it’s been announced.

Frozen 2 is the follow up to Disney’s 2013 hit animated musical that introduced us to royal sisters Elsa and Anna, and gave us the hit song Let It Go.

After a release in cinemas in 2019, where it grossed over $1.4 BILLION, the Frozen 2 Disney+ UK release date has been confirmed for Friday, July 3.

A synopsis for the movie teases: “Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey.

“In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen 2, she must hope they are enough.”

Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell reprise their roles as Queen Elsa and Princess Anna respectively. Josh Gad returns as Olaf and Jonathan Groff is back as the voice of ice harvester Kristoff.

New cast members include Evan Rachel Wood and Alfred Molina as Queen Iduna and King Agnarr, the late parents of Elsa and Anna.

They’re joined by Sterling K. Brown as Lieutenant Destin Mattias with Martha Plimpton, Rachel Matthews and Jason Ritter voicing Yelana, Honeymaren and Ryder – members of the Northuldra tribe – respectively.

Alongside Frozen 2, Disney+ will also be streaming a six-part behind the scenes documentary.

Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2 will premiere globally on Disney+ on Friday 26th June, following the cast and crew as they work on bringing the sequel to the hit 2013 Animation to life.

Currently streaming on Disney+ is Frozen, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Frozen Fever and Lego’ Disney Frozen – Northern Lights
