Husavik from Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is our new musical movie obsession

Netflix has shared an official music video of Husavik (My Home Town) from their new movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

The musical comedy film features Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as a couple of Icelandic singers who are hoping to represent their country in Eurovision.

One of the stand out songs from the movie is Husavik (My Home Town), a the half-English half-Icelandic ballad banger performed by Fire Saga.

On screen the number is performed by McAdams and Ferrell however the female singing voice is actually provided by Swedish vocalist Molly My Marianne Sandén.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is currently streaming on Netflix here after being released in June.

A synopsis of the movie reveals: “When aspiring Icelandic musicians Lars (Will Ferrell) and Sigrit (Rachel McAdams) are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.”

Will Ferrell stars as Lars Erickssong alongside Rachel McAdams as Sigrit Ericksdottir.

They’re joined by Pierce Brosnan as Erick Erickssong, Dan Stevens as Alexander Lemtov, Demi Lovato as Katiana with UK Eurovision royalty Graham Norton making a cameo appearance as himself.
