Netflix to turn musical podcast 36 Questions into a film

Musical podcast 36 Questions is being turned into a film by Netflix.

36 Questions is a musical romance drama which featured the voices of Hamilton star Jonathan Groff and Hadestown’s Jessie Shelton.

The three-part audio series, which was written by Ellen Winter and Chris Littler, follows a couple’s last ditch attempt to save their failing relationship. They try to bring their marriage back from the brink of divorce using 36 revealing questions designed to make strangers fall in love.

Deadline reports that Netflix is to turn the podcast into a feature film with Brett Haley (Hearts Beat Loud) set to direct.

Haley is to pen the script alongside Marc Basch with further details such as casting and a release date to be confirmed.

36 Questions was originally produced by Two-Up Production’s Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie.
