Alice in Wonderland musical starring Sabrina Carpenter coming to Netflix

A new musical adaption of Alice in Wonderland is in the works at Netflix, it’s been revealed.

Sabrina Carpenter is set to star and produce the latest reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s famous novel.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Carpenter will appear in the title role of the film, which is being put together by the same team behind jukebox dance movie Work It.

While details about the new take on the classic work are to be confirmed, it’s claimed the new musical will be set in the present day “against the backdrop of a music festival called Wonderland.”

Singer and actress Carpenter has many TV and Film credits to her name including from Disney Channel series Girl Meets World to The Hate U Give and upcoming Disney+ film Clouds.

She’s also released four albums and earlier this year made her Broadway debut as Cady Heron in Mean Girls The Musical shortly before the theatre shutdown.
