Dr Seuss’ The Grinch Musical! is to be broadcast on Sky from London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
A new TV production will air on Sky One and online via NOW TV starring Matthew Morrison in the title role.
The musical will premiere on Sky One at 3:30PM on Sunday, December 20.
Morrison will be joined by Denis O’Hare as old Max, Booboo Stewart as young Max and Amelia Minto as Cindy-Lou Who.
Further casting includes Ako Mitchell, Amy Ellen Richardson, Claire Machin, Gary Wilmot, Joseph Prouse, Lisa Mathieson, Billy Nevers, Gevenieve Nicole, Bobbie Little, Callum Train, Kirsty Ingram, Idriss Kargbo, Rebecca Louis, Joe Allen, Francesca Mills, Kanon Narumi, Chantelle Tonoleti, Tafari Edwards, Alfie Murray, Erin Rushidi, Bebe Massey, Kayleen Nguema, Lyla Toplass and Louie Gray.
The musical will air on US TV on 9 December on NBC.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas! follows the grumpy Grinch as he attempts to end Christmas for the residents of the town of Whoville.
A musical stage adaption of the classic Dr. Seuss book, the show features a book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music from Mel Marvin.
The TV version will be directed for the stage by Max Webster and directed for television by Julia Knowles, with additional script material by Simon Nye and set design by designer Peter Bingemann.
