Hamilton, The Prom, Lin-Manuel Miranda and James Corden get Golden Globe nominations
Hamilton and The Prom musicals have both picked up nominations at the 2021 Golden Globes.
The filmed version of Hamilton on Broadway and Netflix’s movie adaptation of The Prom will face off in the Best Musical or Comedy Picture category.
They’re nominated together with Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Music and Palm Springs.
Lin-Manuel Miranda picks up a nod in the Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category for playing Hamilton while James Cordon is nominated for playing Barry Glickman in The Prom.
The pair are the only cast nominated from either show although Hamilton’s Leslie Odom Jr. has picked up a nomination for Best Supporting Performance for his role in One Night in Miami.
Hamilton is currently streaming on Disney+ while The Prom is available to watch on Netflix.
