All Star Musicals returns with Elaine Paige, Trevor Dion-Nicholas, Samantha Barks and John Barrowman

All Star Musicals will return to ITV for a brand new special later this weekend!

The show will see a group of celebrities flex their theatrical muscles on stage.

Those taking part are actress Jessica Hynes, barrister and broadcaster Robert Rinder, actor Barney Walsh, political journalist Robert Peston, doctor and presenter Dr Ranj Singh, and actress Luisa Bradshaw-White

The line up will be mentored by West End legend Elaine Paige with help from expert choreographers and vocal coaches. They’ll then take to the stage to perform, supported by a West End chorus line, hoping to impress a panel of judges and virtual audience.

Joining Elaine on the panel will be returning Trevor Dion-Nicholas (Hamilton, Aladdin) and Samantha Barks (Les Miserables, Frozen).

John Barrowman will be back to host the show, which previously aired specials in 2019 and 2017.

As well as celebrities’ performances, John, Elaine, Trevor and Samantha will perform together in the show’s opening number.

All Star Musicals airs this Sunday (March 21) at 6:30PM on ITV and ITV Hub.

John Barrowman said today: “Now more than ever we’re all in need of some fabulous musical entertainment and I can’t wait to be reunited with Elaine on stage for All Star Musicals. We’ve got the most amazing show lined up with something for everyone and lots and lots of surprises!”

Elaine Paige added: “All Star Musicals is a joy to be a part of, I’m so pleased to be back heading up the critics panel and mentoring our new celebrities. We’ve got the most wonderful evening of musical theatre and entertainment lined up for viewers and some very exciting surprises.”

The last special in 2019 featured Broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh, money expert Martin Lewis, Only Fools and Horses actress Tessa Peake Jones, TV host Joel Dommett, comedian London Hughes, Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank and Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh.
