Hamilton star Emilie Israel stuns viewers on BBC One’s I Can See Your Voice

West End star Emilie Israel stunned viewers in tonight’s episode of BBC One show I Can See Your Voice.

I Can See Your Voice is hosted by Paddy McGuinness with celebrity investigators Jimmy Carr, Alison Hammond and Amanda Holden.

Each week they are joined by a special musical guest to try and help a pair of contestants attempt to tell the difference between good and bad mystery singers – without ever hearing them sing a note.

One of the singers on this weekend’s line up was ‘West End Girl’ who was eliminated by the contestants thinking she was a bad singer.

They were proved very wrong when ‘West End Girl’ performed ‘Always On My Mind’ and revealed herself to be Emilie Israel who has appeared in theatre shows including The Lion King in Paris and is currently in Hamilton on the West End.

After the performance Amanda Holden said: “She was too good to be true.”

On I Can See Your Voice, players attempt to weed out the bad singers based on a series of clues, interrogation and lip-sync performances.

If the last remaining singer is a bad one, the players win £10,000.

But if a bad singer has managed to fool them, they’ll walk away with the cash prize.

In tonight’s episode the panel were joined by Louise Redknapp. Other guests on the series include Ronan Keating, Nadine Coyle, Danny Jones from McFly, Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs, Fleur East and Alexandra Burke.

I Can See Your Voice currently airs Saturday nights on BBC One. You can watch episodes now online via BBC iPlayer.
