Watch Ben Platt’s Dear Evan Hansen performance on Strictly Come Dancing

Ben Platt performed on this weekend’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing!

The Dear Evan Hansen star belted out You Will Be Found from the show’s recent movie adaptation on Sunday night on BBC one.

And that wasn’t the only treat for musical fans, with Strictly Come Dancing’s movie week special also featuring an opening routine from the professional dancers inspired by In The Heights.

Strictly Come Dancing’s movie night aired Saturday night at 6:45PM and Sunday at 7:10PM on BBC One.

Meanwhile Dear Evan Hansen is due for release on 22 October in UK cinemas having already been out in the US since September.

With a score written by The Greatest Showman songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and a book by Steven Levenson, Dear Evan Hansen’s movie adaptation will see Ben Platt reprise his Tony-award winning role as the show’s title character.

Also on the cast are Julianne Moore as Evan’s mum Heidi with Kaitlyn Dever and Colton Ryan as Zoe and Connor Murphy.

Amy Adams and Danny Pino will play Zoe and Connor’s parents with Amandla Stenberg and Nik Dodani starring as Alana Beck and Jared Kleinman.

Meanwhile the show will return to the West End from 26 October 2021, currently booking through to 12 February 2022.
