How to watch the Olivier Awards 2024

The Olivier Awards 2024 with Mastercard take place this weekend live in London.

Established in 1976 and run by the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), the Olivier Awards celebrate the world-class status of London theatre and are Britain’s most prestigious stage honours.

SOLT has announced that the Olivier Awards 2024 with Mastercard will take place on Sunday, 14 April, at the Royal Albert Hall.

Those in the UK will be able to watch highlights of the ceremony on ITV1 and ITVX from 10:10PM BST.

Fans in the US, Canada and Australia will be able to also watch the show via BritBox.

In other countries, the ceremony will be available to stream via @officiallondontheatre YouTube channel from 6PM BST.

Icon of stage and screen Hannah Waddingham will be hosting the event for a second year running.

She will open the event performing with singer and pianist Joe Stilgoe.

Plus there will be performances from nominees including The Little Big Things, Next To Normal, Operation Mincemeat, A Strange Loop, Guys & Dolls and Hadestown, alongside a special moment from Groundhog Day Australia.

The list of nominations were announced on Tuesday, 12 March.

The National Theatre has garnered the most nominations across its productions, with Dear England, The Motive And The Cue, Till The Stars Come Down and The Effect all recognised across a number of categories. Dear England is the most nominated play with 9 nods, whilst Sunset Boulevard leads the way among the musicals, with 11 nominations.

Nominated performers include Nicole Scherzinger, Sophie Okonedo, Mark Gatiss, Andrew Scott and David Tennant, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Sarah Snook, Joseph Fiennes and James Norton all receiving their first nominations.

Shows premiering between 15 February 2023 – 27 February 2024 were eligible for consideration across the various award categories.

Anthony Van Laast will serve as the show’s creative director.

Meanwhile you’ll be able to follow arrivals on the Green Carpet on the night via TikTok from 4:30PM on Sunday, 14 April with host Maddie Grace Jepson.
