Welsh West End stars audition for Britain’s Got Talent with The Greatest Showman hit

A group of Welsh West End stars took to the stage of Britain’s Got Talent in this weekend’s episode.

The latest series of Britain’s Got Talent currently airs Saturday nights on ITV and ITV Hub.

One of the acts who audition this weekend were musical theatre supergroup Welsh of the West End.

Put together by Steffan Hughes, the group features Welsh performers from shows such as Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and Wicked.

Those performing for the BGT judges included Sophie Evans, Luke McCall, Jade Davies, Glain Rhys, Siwan Henderson, Mared Williams, Tom Hier and Samantha Thomas.

They belted out From Now On from The Greatest Showman and got four yeses from Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden to make the next round.

Hosted by Ant & Dec, Britain’s Got Talent continues this Saturday at 8PM on ITV and ITV Hub.

On the show contestants are competing for a £250,000 cash prize and spot performing on the Royal Variety Performance.

Earlier this series saw Loren Allred win a golden buzzer to secure a place in the live shows.

Loren provided the singing voice for Jenny Lind in the musical movie, performing Never Enough while Rebecca Ferguson acted the role on screen.

The 32-year-old from Brooklyn, USA took to the stage of belt out the song for her audition.
