Watch Les Misérables staged concert behind the scenes special

A behind the scenes special of Les Misérables’ staged concert has been shared online.

Les Misérables played its special staged concert version at the Gielgud Theatre in 2019 and is now available for digital download.

You can order the concert online via Amazon here or via iTunes here.

Alongside the concert, a backstage featurette has been created.

Producer Cameron Mackintosh said: “Bringing It Home is a specially created featurette which includes footage of the stars at their homes talking about their experiences both of live theatre and the show plus never seen before backstage footage that wonderfully captures the humour, camaraderie and thrill of performing to live audiences in these hauntingly beautiful and exciting historic buildings.”

You can watch the feature above.

Meanwhile, for every digital download of the concert purchased Mackintosh Foundation will be donating £5.00 to be split amongst three charities Acting for Others, the Musicians Union Hardship Fund and Captain Tom Moore’s fundraiser.

In addition, Mackintosh has launched the fundraising by donating £100,000 from his Foundation.

The Les Misérables staged concert cast was led by Michael Ball as Javert and Alfie Boe as his nemesis Jean Valjean.

They were joined by Matt Lucas portraying Thénardier with Carrie Hope Fletcher as Fantine, Katy Secombe as Madame Thénardier with Bradley Jaden as Enjolras, Rob Houchen as Marius, Shan Ako as Eponine and Lily Kerhoas as Cosette.
