The Seagull with Emilia Clarke and A Doll’s House with Jessica Chastain will be rescheduled

Jamie Lloyd’s productions of The Seagull and A Doll’s House will be rescheduled when theatres re-open.

Emilia Clarke will reprise her role of Nina in The Seagull (originally running March 11 – May 30) while Jessica Chastain will return to A Doll’s House (originally playing June 10 – September 5).

Dates and full casts for the rescheduled runs are to be confirmed.

Jamie Lloyd said: “This is, of course, an incredibly challenging time for everyone, but we are looking forward to presenting our season to audiences in the future.

“I’m thrilled that Emilia Clarke and Jessica Chastain will lead The Seagull and A Doll’s House as soon as we can get back into the theatre.

“We also remain committed to offering thousands of £15 and free tickets, together with our unique education work and our exciting new Emerge scheme, as soon as the season reopens.”

Anya Reiss’ version of Anton Chekhov famous play The Seagull follows a group of characters who are united in their desire to find happiness.

Meanwhile, Frank McGuinness’s version of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House follows a woman as she struggles through the misogynistic world around her.

Both Clarke and Chastain make their West End debuts in their respective roles.
