Everybody’s Talking About Jamie tells the story of 16-year-old Jamie New.
Jamie is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. He is going to be a sensation.
Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.
The musical features music by Dan Gillespie Sells and lyrics & book by Tom MacRae.
Alongside the West End production, the musical recently started its first UK tour in February with Layton Williams in the titular role.
A film adaption is due for release later this year in October, with newcomer Max Harwood cast as Jamie New.
