Watch Kinky Boots cast from across the world in an epic Pride performance

Stars of Kinky Boots from across the world have got (virtually) together for a special Pride performance.

To celebrate Pride 2020, cast members from productions of Kinky Boots from around the globe unite for an epic at-home music video of its finale anthem “Raise You Up” by Cyndi Lauper.

Productions from seven nations across four continents are represented including London’s West End.

The video was shared in support of True Colors United, co-founded in 2008 by Cyndi Lauper. They implement innovative solutions to youth homelessness that focus on the unique experiences of LGBTQ young people.

Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits a struggling shoe factory in Northampton. Following a chance encounter with a drag queen named Lola, Price looks to try and save the factory by embracing a more flamboyant business model.

With a score written by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots has proved a huge hit both on Broadway and the West End. The show wrapped up in London in January 2019 after three years and more than 1,400 performances.
