West End star Alice Fearn is to host a weekly live online show featuring performances and interviews.
Fearn, best known for her leading roles in Come from Away and Wicked, will be joined by fellow musical theatre stars as well as recent graduates
The weekly socially distanced shows will start on July 17, streamed live from Fearn’s garden with music from Nick Barstow and direction from Kirk Jameson.
The first names confirmed are Shan Ako (Les Misérables) on July 17 at 7PM and Sam Tutty (Dear Evan Hansen) on July 24 at 7PM.
Rob Houchen (Les Misérables, City of Angels) will join Fearn on July 31 followed by Kimberley Walsh (Big, Elf) on August 7.
More guests will be announced in due course.
Tickets will cost £9 with £1 going to a different charity each week, starting with Acting For Others.
Tickets are available online now via intermissionslive.com.
Fearn said: “In a time where we can’t be doing what we love, I wanted to create a space where we could keep theatre alive. Intermissions is a live gig with a difference raising money for four important causes and featuring both West End stars and new graduates who are coming out into an industry that is currently quiet.
“I’ll be chatting to the guests and asking them how the lockdown experience has been, we’ll have live performances and so much more. The best part? It’s all from the comfort of my garden.
“Theatre is something that we all feel so strongly/passionately about so I’m thrilled we can make this work and can’t wait to get started on 17 July.”
